About Margrit

I was born and raised in Berlin, Germany.

Before moving to the US, I coached couples and individuals in a private practice in Berlin and worked as a theatre pedagogue at a number of Berlin high schools.

After a challenging start into motherhood, I found support in a holistic Yoga group for mothers and their infants. The most simple and yet most crucial lesson I took with me from this class was: A happy baby has a happy mother. If you’re not feeling good about yourself, it will be difficult and hardly sustainable to be loving and caring to someone as needy as an infant.

In 2009 I moved to Takoma Park with my husband and daughter.                                        I have taught German and Drama in German at Goethe Institut DC and at Catholic University, and integrate the playfulness of drama into my coaching work.

I’m currently volunteering at Dance Exchange in the adults over 50 class as well as in the Teen Exchange. The work with the body is cleansing and energizing to me.
